Many Happy Returns.

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone who reads this small blog of mine has a nice bit of time off to visit with family and eat an extra cookie or 2. I sure did. ^_^

After rapping up on The Most Popular Girls..... to put it bluntly I practically collapsed on my floor with half a brownie in my mouth and my backpack and shoes still on. In other words, when you finish working on something....

only at that moment.....

you do really know how tired you are.

That being said the show is premiering in mid January on Youtube for free. So if you are into the idea of Barbies saying possibly inappropriate things and also poop jokes. Watch it. Also it's free. :D

So anyways, I took a much needed break of eating and sleeping and more eating and sleeping consistently for 8 hours, multiple days in a row and ran and lifted weights and ate 3 meals a day (not sure if I mentioned the food. there was lots.) It was great.

I was raised in Northern California, in a little big town called, Santa Rosa. During the Christmas break I was lucky enough to visit the coast and spring lake as well as San Francisco. I've always found that after a world wind of animating for months it's the best feeling to go out and explore nature. For me it helps with brainstorming and also I can't help it hiking is my favorite.

Though this break I was able to break new ground on my next animated short. I literally hiked the diameter of Spring lake on Christmas Day and came up with a solid story and script (this is my 4th version of the short FYI It's never good to go with your first idea. Build and build on top of the ideas until it feels right. and spring lake helped it feel right. Thank You trees.)

Right before I left I was able to sculpt the head of my new puppet who is going to star in my next short. He's a clown. He's sorta the same clown in my short, "The Trip," but maybe less creepy. The plan is to make a basic silicone mold for his head and for his limbs, because they are going to be silicone limbs. I'm going to follow this tutorial here- http://nathan-flynn.blogspot.com/2011/04/mould-making-hands-feet.html#.VKFq851AB

So if you want to make silicone limbs follow that. :D

AND ALSO BE EXTRA SAFE WITH LIQUID PLASTIC RESIN. RESIN CAN GIVE YOU CANCER. I WORKED WITH IT WITHOUT PROTECTION AND NOW I KNOW HOW BAD IT IS. GIVE ME ALL THE GLOVES O_O!

In other words, I'm going to be extra careful from now on......

Overall as the year ends I just wanted to personally say that 2014 became my most successful year of my life post college. I just wanted to thank everyone who has helped me get to where I am now. I have always felt that success is a shared achievement with the people you surround yourself with. So once again Thank You.

As I plan for 2015 and my journey continues feel free to follow the adventure on this little blog of mine. :)
